The cycle of theoretical trainings held at the *“Skhivi” Wood Workshop, within the *“IKA-21” Association, plays a crucial role in the economic, social, and personal empowerment of youth with disabilities. Delivered in a non-formal education format, the training not only focuses on developing professional skills but also strengthens participants’ independence, self-achievement, and full integration into society.

Professional and technical skills development
The trainings cover the basics of woodworking, safety rules, the proper use of environmentally friendly materials, and techniques for creating handmade products. This knowledge enhances the professional competencies of young people, increasing their future opportunities for employment or starting small businesses.

Strengthening creative and self-expression skills
Youth with disabilities learn that working with wood is an excellent way to develop creative skills and express themselves. Participants have the opportunity to create unique works, transform their own ideas into products, and take pride in their achievements.

Improving social skills and teamwork
Trainings are conducted in a group format, fostering relationship-building, collaboration, and a culture of mutual support. Young people with disabilities learn the basics of teamwork, communication, and cooperation, significantly enhancing their social engagement.
