IKA

Gela Chiviashvili, Head of the Tbilisi City Hall's Healthcare and Social Services Department, got acquainted with the process of training and working with people with disabilities at the wood workshop based on the "Ika 21" association.

Within the framework of the Tbilisi City Hall project, people with intellectual disabilities and mental problems learn wood carving, drawing and engraving (xylography), and then make environmentally friendly toys and souvenirs. Currently, the workshop is preparing for the New Year and works are underway to make wooden New Year's souvenirs.

Currently, 20 people with disabilities are employed at the woodworking enterprise.
