@ikaassociation21 Why is daily physical activity important for people with disabilities? The Association "Ika-21" Irakli Kemoklidze Day Center, under the guidance of sports instructor, Italian volunteer Matteo, conducts daily physical exercises and sports activities. The type and intensity of physical activity for people with disabilities are selected individually, depending on their needs, abilities and health status. Daily physical activity is especially important for people with disabilities (disabilities) for several reasons: 1. Improving physical health - supporting the cardiovascular system: physical activity improves blood circulation, reduces the risk of heart disease. Strengthening respiratory function: physical exercise promotes the effective functioning of the lungs. Strengthening the musculoskeletal system: it strengthens muscles, joints and bones, which is necessary to maintain mobility. 2. Psychological benefits - physical activity improves mood, reduces stress and depression. During exercise, endorphins ("happiness hormones") are released, which contribute to the stability of the emotional state. Provides a higher level of self-esteem and a sense of accomplishment. 3. Promotes social engagement Group activities, sports or even walking with other people help develop communication skills and reduce social isolation. Social interaction often creates new friends and a support network. 4. Supports functional independence Physical activity helps people with disabilities better cope with daily activities, which increases their level of independence. Improves coordination and balance, which minimizes the risk of falls and injuries. 5. Manages medical conditions Activity helps manage chronic diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure and obesity. Physical activity often delays the progression of diseases and increases overall vitality. Many thanks to Italian volunteer Matteo for caring for young people with disabilities and promoting physical recovery. 💪✨ Why Daily Physical Activity Matters for People with Disabilities! ✨💪 At Irakli Kemoklidze Day Center, our Italian volunteer Matteo leads daily sports and exercise sessions designed for each participant's unique needs.
