Creating eco-friendly wooden Christmas ornaments in a workshop is an excellent idea that not only promotes environmental protection but also produces creative and unique handmade items.
Each young person in the "Skhivi" workshop has their own role, and the tasks are divided into specific operations:
Material Selection
- Choosing the Wood: For eco-friendly ornaments, we select natural wood free from chemical additives. The best options include walnut, oak, spruce, or pine.
- Recycling Materials: Using reclaimed wood is also an option, making the approach even more environmentally friendly.
Tools and Techniques
- Tools: Saw, chisel, drill, and sandpaper.
- Cutting and Processing: We cut shapes for the ornaments (stars, snowmen, snowflakes, etc.) and then smooth the surfaces with sandpaper.
Decoration and Finishing
- Colorful Materials: We use water-based eco-friendly paints and varnishes.
- Natural Details: The ornaments are decorated with natural materials, such as spruce twigs, pinecones, or pieces of fabric.
Safety
- We ensure the ornaments have no sharp edges or surfaces that could be dangerous for children.
- Only non-toxic and child-safe materials are used.
Packaging and Presentation
- The ornaments are packaged in eco-friendly materials such as paper, fabric, or decorative wrapping.
- A label indicates that the product is crafted in an environmentally conscious manner.
