It develops motor skills, sensory perception, concentration, self-esteem and social skills. Therefore, its integration as part of special educational and therapeutic programs yields significant positive results. At the Irakli Kemoklidze Day Center, the wood workshop &quot;Shkhi&quot;, young people with disabilities work and prepare for the summer exhibition, making environmentally friendly wooden souvenirs. Woodworking therapy improves sensory stimulation, while working with wood, a person with disabilities touches different textures (rough, smooth, variegated), touching different materials improves sensations, which has a positive effect on improving sensory perception. Working with wood helps to improve concentration of attention. Working with wood requires focusing attention on a specific task.
