Opportunities\u201d \u2013 an inclusive, creative space for young people with disabilities<br>On November 19 of this year, the Association \u201cIka-21\u201d, Irakli Kemoklidze Day Center held a culminating event-exhibition of the project &#8211; \u201cColorful Workshop of Opportunities\u201d in the organization\u2019s exhibition space.<br>The event featured handmade souvenirs and decorations created by young people with disabilities \u2014 unique works that reflected the creativity, hard work and diversity of their abilities.<br>The project is funded by the City Department of Culture, Education, Sports and Youth Affairs of the Tbilisi Municipality.<br>The goal of the project was to create an inclusive, creative and supportive environment where people with disabilities are given the opportunity to develop skills in the direction of self-expression and labor integration. Participants developed fine motor skills, cognitive and independence skills, concentration and creative thinking in the process of making handmade souvenirs. The program helped improve emotional regulation, social and communication skills, teamwork and self-esteem.<br>The closing event was attended by Nana Tsimakuridze, Deputy Governor of Gldani District, representatives of the Gldani District Administration and invited guests, who highly appreciated the works of young people with disabilities and noted the great importance of such initiatives. The guests noted that the implementation of such projects and the active support of Tbilisi City Hall significantly contribute to the integration of people with disabilities into society, self-realization and the creation of equal opportunities.
