The Benefits of Open Space

When the weather is nice, the Association "Ika-21", Irakli Kemoklidze Day Center turns into a special open space. People with disabilities benefit greatly from these moments: breathing fresh air, moving in a safe and inclusive environment, sharing activities with others. The new green tables provide many opportunities: it is possible to draw, read, play, do small tasks or just talk to each other. Today's activity was dedicated to studying the technology of wet wool spinning and creating a beautiful, handmade, floral wool panel-souvenir in the open space.
Working with wool helps develop fine motor skills, concentration, perception, and psycho-emotional regulation. This therapy and open space not only improves creativity and socialization, but also enhances the ability to engage in society and the well-being of young people with disabilities.
