თბილისის მერის შეზღუდული შესაძლებლობის მქონეპირთა საკითხებზე მომუშავე საბჭოს პირველი სხდომაგაიმართა, რომელზეც საბჭოს წევრთა განახლებულმაშემადგენლობამ შშმ პირთა წინაშე არსებულ გამოწვევებსადა მათი გადაჭრის გზებზე იმსჯელა.სხდომას თბილისის მერის შშმ პირთა საკითხებზე მომუშავესაბჭოს თანათავმჯდომარე, ასოციაცია ,,იკა-21’’ დამფუძნებელი და დირექტორი, ექსპერტი შშმ პირთასაკითხებში მაია ასაკაშვილი უძღვებოდა. ასევე, სხდომასესწრებოდნენ დედაქალაქის მერიის საქალაქოსამსახურების ხელმძღვანელები და წარმომადგენლები.მაია ასაკაშვილმა დამსწრეებს გააცნო დღის წესრიგითგანსაზღვრული საკითხები. საბჭომ იმსჯელა მძიმე, ღრმა დამრავლობითი დარღვევების მქონე პირთა ჰიგიენურისაშუალებებისა და მედიკამენტების შესაძენად ვაუჩერულიდაფინანსების გაზრდისა და საკურორტო ვაუჩერისასაკობრივი ზღვრის გაზრდის, შშმ პირთა დღის ცენტრებისკომუნალური ხარჯების სუბსიდირების, საზოგადოებრივტრანსპორტში შშმ პირთა მიმართ არსებულ გამოწვევებზე, ჟესტურ ენაზე, სხვადასხვა სფეროს სპეციალისტთაგადამზადების პროგრამის ამოქმედების, საზოგადოებაზედაფუძნებული ფსიქოლოგიური დახმარების სერვისისშექმნისა და კულტურის სფეროში შშმ პირთა მიმართარსებულ გამოწვევებზე.თბილისის მერის შეზღუდული შესაძლებლობის მქონეპირთა საკითხებზე მომუშავე საბჭო წარმოადგენსდედაქალაქის მერის სათათბირო ორგანოს, რომელიცთავისი კომპეტენციის ფარგლებში განიხილავს შშმ პირთაღირსეული თანაცხოვრებისა და თანაბარიშესაძლებლობების უზრუნველყოფისთვის აუცილებელიპირობების შექმნის საკითხებს. მისი მიზანი შშმ პირებისსოციალური იზოლაციის დაძლევა, საზოგადოებაში მათმიმართ არსებული სტერეოტიპების რღვევა და მათირეალური შესაძლებლობების წარმოჩენაა.
The first meeting of the Tbilisi Mayor’s Council on Disability Issues was held, at which the renewed composition of the Council members discussed the challenges facing persons with disabilities and ways to solve them.The meeting was chaired by Maia Asakashvili, Co-Chair of the Tbilisi Mayor’s Council on Disability Issues, Founder and Director of the Association “IKA-21”, and expert in disability issues. The meeting was also attended by heads and representatives of the city departments of the capital’s City Hall.Maia Asakashvili introduced the attendees to the issues specified in the agenda. The Council discussed increasing voucher funding for the purchase of hygiene products and medicines for people with severe, profound and multiple disabilities and increasing the age limit for resort vouchers, subsidizing utility costs of day centers for people with disabilities, addressing the challenges facing people with disabilities in public transport, launching a retraining program for specialists in various fields in sign language, creating a community-based psychological support service, and addressing the challenges facing people with disabilities in the field of culture.The Tbilisi Mayor’s Council on Disabled Persons is an advisory body to the Mayor of the capital, which, within its competence, discusses issues of creating the necessary conditions for dignified coexistence and equal opportunities for people with disabilities. Its goal is to overcome the social isolation of people with disabilities, break stereotypes towards them in society, and demonstrate their real capabilities.
