Fine motor skills

Developing fine motor skills and creating applications (handmade works) with people with disabilities is not only learning skills, but also a powerful form of therapy. What is fine motor skills? Fine motor skills involve precise, coordinated movements of the hand and fingers. This is necessary in everyday life – dressing, eating, writing, holding things, tying buttons, etc. Why is the development of fine motor skills important for people with disabilities? – It helps stimulate brain activation, working with fingers activates those areas of the brain that are responsible for thinking, attention and speech. It helps improve self-control skills. This is how the association “Ika-21” works on the development of fine motor skills in the day center.
