Training cycle at the Irakli Kemoklidze Training Space

At the training space of the Irakli Kemoklidze Day Center, on the basis of the Association,,Ika-21’’, an interesting training was held on important topics: violence, forms of violence, how to recognize the perpetrator, what preventive measures should be taken by young people with disabilities in case of violence, a psychologist provided them with relevant recommendations, practical tools, who to turn to for help, how to record the fact of violence, how to protect their own boundaries.
The second topic of the training was devoted to personal development, what personal development means, how to set a goal, how to develop our skills. The participants began to think – what can I do? What do I want? What works well for me? – this is especially important for young people with disabilities, because such information and recommendations strengthen their belief in their own abilities. As a result of the training, they learned to set specific, realistic goals and divide them into stages. They learned tools to increase motivation and self-esteem. As a result of the trainings, the participants became more independent and informed. Such trainings not only provide knowledge to young people with disabilities, but also actually change their daily behavior and decisions.
