At the Irakli Kemoklidze Day Center, the wood workshop “Shkhi” (in the light), young people with disabilities learn xylography. Xylography (wood engraving or cutting) is a very good therapeutic and developmental activity for young people with disabilities. This craft contributes to: Developing fine motor skills – using tools improves muscle control and coordination. Strengthening concentration – creating a detailed work requires attention and patience. Developing creativity and self-expression – wood cutting allows young people to create unique works and express their ideas.
